大同位于山西省北部，晉冀蒙交界處，是國(guó)家確定的區(qū)域重點(diǎn)城市，山西對(duì)接京津冀的橋頭堡。大同現(xiàn)轄4區(qū)6縣和1個(gè)國(guó)家級(jí)經(jīng)濟(jì)技術(shù)開(kāi)發(fā)區(qū)，國(guó)土面積1.41萬(wàn)平方公里，常住人口310萬(wàn)。
Located in northern Shanxi Province at the junction of Shanxi Province, Hebei Province and the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, Datong is a national regional central city and the gateway city of Shanxi Province connecting with the Coordinated Development of the Beijing-Tianjing-Hebei Region. Datong consists of 4 districts and 6 counties and one national-level economic and technological zone. Covering an area of 14,100 square kilometers, it has a population of 3.1 million.
