森林資源
大同市國有森林資源資產(chǎn)由8個(gè)國有林場（4個(gè)市屬國有林場和4個(gè)縣屬國有林場）和10個(gè)國有育苗單位組成，分布在全市9個(gè)縣（區(qū)），總面積87939.8公頃。國有林場經(jīng)營面積87454公頃。
Forest Resources
The state-owned forest resources assets of Datong consist of 8 state-owned forest farms (4 municipal state-owned forest farms and 4 county state-owned forest farms) and 10 state-owned seeding cultivation unites. They are distributed 9 counties (districts) by covering total area of 87,939.8 hectares. The operational area of state-owned forest farms in Datong is 87,454 hectares.
土地資源
全市土地總面積140．56萬公頃，未利用地2.03萬公頃，農(nóng)用地127.91萬公頃，建設(shè)用地10.62萬公頃。
Land Resources
The total land area of Datong is 1.4056 million hectares including 20,300 hectares of unused land, 1.2791 million hectares of agricultural land and 106,200 hectares of construction land.
礦產(chǎn)資源
大同礦產(chǎn)資源豐富，境內(nèi)富含煤、銅、鐵、錳、石墨等多種資源，尤以煤炭資源儲量最為豐富，煤炭探明儲量376億噸,是全國最大的煤炭能源基地。截止 2020年，全市共發(fā)現(xiàn)能源、金屬、非金屬、水汽4大類礦產(chǎn)91種，占全省已發(fā)現(xiàn)礦產(chǎn)的四分之三。全市已發(fā)現(xiàn)金屬礦產(chǎn) 24 種，其中有查明資源儲量的鐵、錳、銅、鉛、鋅、金、銀、鎂、鉬 9 種；已發(fā)現(xiàn)非金屬礦59種，其中有查明資源儲量的20種，其中石墨現(xiàn)儲5162.3萬噸，其他非金屬礦有沸石、珍珠巖、玄武巖、花崗巖等。
Mineral Resources
Datong is rich in mineral resources, with abundant reserves of coal, copper, iron, manganese graphite, among which coal resources have the largest reserves. By the end of 2023, a total of 91 types of minerals in four major categories, namely energy, metals, non-metals, and water vapor, have been discovered in the Datong region, accounting for 75.83% of the minerals discovered in Shanxi Province. Among them, the coal resources amount to 26.847 billion tons; there are 24 types of metal minerals, with proven reserves for nine types including iron, manganese, copper, lead, zinc, gold, silver, magnesium, and molybdenum; there are 59 types of non-metallic minerals, with 20 types having proven reserves. Graphite currently holds a mineral resource volume of 508.7802 million tons and a mineral content of 18.8458 million tons. Other non-metallic minerals include zeolite, perlite, basalt, granite, etc.
水資源
全市地跨海河、黃河兩大流域，以海河流域?yàn)橹?。市?nèi)主要河流有桑干河、御河、十里河、唐河等，流域面積50平方千米以上的河流有106條，分屬海河流域永定河、大清河水系。全市擁有水庫62座，總庫容為7.91億立方米。
Water Resources
The city spans the Haihe River and Yellow River basins, with the Haihe River basin being the dominant one. Major rivers within the city include the Sanggan River, Yuh River, Shili River, and Tang River. There are 106 rivers with a drainage area of over 50 square kilometers, belonging to the Yongding River and Daqing River systems of the Haihe River basin. The city has 62 reservoirs with a total storage capacity of 791 million cubic meters.
